Every two years, thousands of orthodontists from around the world get together for the Invisalign orthodontic summit in Las Vegas. During this international conference, there is a competition in which orthodontists submit complex treatments (before and after pictures, x-rays and treatment plan) of patients that they have treated. The top 100 treatments of all submissions are published in an Invisalign textbook and are presented in the summit. The cases are ranked based on difficulty, quality of the results and efficiency of treatment. For a second time in a row, Dr. MacKenzie was selected as a semi-finalist in this competition. Four of her patients were featured at the Invisalign summit, and are now published in an orthodontic textbook. Dr. MacKenzie is the only orthodontist in Atlantic Canada, and one of very few Canadians who have received this recognition.
