Here are a couple of things to keep in mind to survive your first week with your new Invisalign aligners šš»ā
ā
š Get comfortable with your Invisalign aligners, you’ll be wearing them a lot š ā
Wear your Invisalign aligners 22 hours a day minimum. The plastic from the aligners smooths out the roughness of the attachments so wearing your aligners as much as possible will decrease the sensitivity of the teeth. Be sure to treat tooth sensitivity as soon as it arises.
š Double up on propel use and take Advil/Tylenol as soon as tooth sensitivity arises!ā
Take advil or tylenol and double up on the use of your Propel. The gentle vibrations of Propel take away the feeling of aligner pressure. If you do not have Propel, use aligner chewies or simply gently bite on your aligners for a few minutes several times a day.
š Keep your teeth and aligners clean šŖ„ ā
Plaque can cause gum inflammation which can lead to sensitivity. Brush your teeth and your aligners with your toothbrush and toothpaste.
